One<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW199910058 BCX0\">a meeting to analyze the relationship between archives, memory, society and human rights.<\/span><\/span><span class=\"EOP SCXW199910058 BCX0\" data-ccp-props=\"{\"335551550\":6,\"335551620\":6}\"> <\/span><\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Next April 29th at 5pm in the<\/span> <span data-contrast=\"auto\">Auditorium of the Center for Cross-Border Cultures of the University of Lleida<\/span> <span data-contrast=\"auto\">The first edition of &#8216;Connected Memory, Space for Reflection&#8217; will be held. This activity, jointly promoted by Archivists Without Borders, the National Archive of Catalonia and the Archive and Document Management of the University of Lleida, is an initiative that seeks to create a space for reflection and debate on the interconnections between   <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">memory, archives, society and human rights<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\"335551550\":6,\"335551620\":6}\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">This year&#8217;s edition will be a space for reflection, a round table where<\/span> <span data-contrast=\"auto\">three professionals from literature, law and archival science will participate.<\/span> <span data-ccp-props=\"{\"335551550\":6,\"335551620\":6}\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Maria Campillo, historian of Catalan Literature and retired professor at the Autonomous University of Barcelona<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\"335551550\":6,\"335551620\":6}\"> <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"auto\">N\u00faria Camps, full professor of international law and vice-rector for Social Commitment, Equality and Cooperation at the University of Lleida<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\"335551550\":6,\"335551620\":6}\"> <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Blanca Bazaco, head of the References and User Service at the Regional Archive of the Community of Madrid.  <\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\"335551550\":6,\"335551620\":6}\"> <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The event will be moderated by S\u00edlvia Marimon, journalist and Culture editor of the newspaper Ara.  <\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\"335551550\":6,\"335551620\":6,\"335559685\":0}\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The participants will reflect and interact with the audience on the role of archives in the construction of a collective memory and in the preservation and defense of human rights. Maria Campillo will address the concept of Marianne Hirst&#8217;s postmemory to make visible the network that connects future generations with those who have suffered atrocities; a postmemory where generational relationships prevent traumatic events from falling into oblivion and becoming trivial. N\u00faria Camps will review the normative corpus that allows the protection of memory to be connected with human rights.
