Some of these women were pregnant and gave birth in prisons. The experience of having to live with babies and, later, having to be forcibly separated from them, marked the lives of these women and their children. From Arxivers sin Fronteres, the oral history project of this harsh reality is being carried out through interviews with the women who suffered this situation so that Uruguayan society does not forget this sad story.
