Archivists Without Borders signs an agreement with BAMAD Galicia
Last Saturday, March 16, AsF’s project spokesperson, Ariadna Morente Pagès, and its president, Núria Carreras Font, traveled to Santiago de Compostela to establish new synergies with the Galician archival community through a new collaboration agreement with BAMAD Galicia.

Acronym for the Association of Professionals of Archives, Libraries, Museums and Documentation Centres of Galicia since 2014, previously ANABAD Galicia, it is one of the territorial sections of the state of the Spanish non-profit federation ANABAD. The association brings together those people who professionally deal with archives, libraries, museums, documentation and information centres, archaeological parks and interpretation centres or have a professional interest in these institutions.

Thus, the event, which took place at the Museo das Peregrinacións e de Santiago, consisted of three parts: the celebration of the BAMAD Galicia assembly, the presentation of AsF and the signing of the agreement by the presidents of the two associations, Núria Carreras, mentioned above, and Olimpia López Rodríguez.
An agreement that aims to encompass various aspects to be worked on both jointly and individually, such as the training of people in archival matters, document management and governance of information and data in the field of archival cooperation and activism, as well as the carrying out and dissemination of events, conferences, projects and other activities that are developed.
