With the conviction that sport is and must be an educational framework for the defense and promotion of democratic values and human rights , the International Council on Archives (ICA), through the Sports Archives Section (ICA/SPO), and together with other Catalan organizing and collaborating institutions, wants to make governments and citizens aware of the need to organize and preserve the archives of all people and public and private institutions, associations and entities linked to the world of sport.

The essential need for joint collaboration in the conservation, access and dissemination of this sports documentation is highlighted in order to guarantee its use and access to citizens, and the defense of sport as a way of positive development of the rights of integration and social cohesion, education, equality and democracy.

The seminar will be held on May 9, and can be attended in person (in Girona) or remotely (via Webinar).
