Archival training seminar: Access to public information: the application of the right of access in Quito

Within the framework of policies to raise awareness among citizens to learn about the events that occurred related to the various Ecuadorian military dictatorships, the institutions and entities of that country have promoted various actions related to the defense of people’s rights.

In this context, Archivists Without Borders has collaborated in the organization of several training courses and has participated in seminars on the organization of archives and access to public information. Of particular note are the courses held in 2005 with the collaboration of various institutions in the country, including the one entitled Archives: Challenges and Opportunities in the 21st Century and the participation in the round table on Access to Public Information: Applying the Right of Access.
