Collaboration project with the Documentation Center and Archive for the Defense of Human Rights. Supreme Court of Justice of Paraguay

The Center for Documentation and Archives for the Defense of Human Rights, based in the city of Asunción (Paraguay), preserves the archive of the military police of General Stroessner (1954-1989), also known as the Terror Archive within the framework of the so-called Operation Condor. Archivists Without Borders has collaborated in the process of digitizing the documentary collection preserved in this archive with the aim of facilitating the conservation of the documentation. In this regard, a scanner has been purchased and technical training has been given to the Archive staff so that they can use it to digitize this collection and others.

Likewise, two archival training courses have been held for the staff of this archive and, at the same time, staff working at the Supreme Court of Justice and other people linked to various institutions and entities in the country were also invited with the aim of making known the principles of the archival methodology for organizing documentary collections.
