V Conference of Archivists without Borders. Cooperating by training, training cooperators
Barcelona Maritime Museum, November 19 and 20, 2010
At the 5th Archivists Without Borders Conference, we focused on one of the key issues in the world of cooperation: training as an instrument of action in international projects.
Aspects related to the interrelationship between training and cooperation were discussed and we will approach them from different perspectives. The training was presented as a tool for disaster prevention and safeguarding documentary and material heritage, as an intervention instrument to contribute to the development of countries, but also as a strategy for improving the work of aid workers. that operate in or for the countries with which the cooperative relationship is maintained.
In short, during the 5th Conference, training was discussed from the perspective of the professional improvement of the cooperation worker to effectively achieve the objectives defined in the cooperation projects and from the analysis of this tool as an element of action.
The program was aimed especially at managers of non-governmental organizations, aid workers, trainers, professionals, students and in general people who were interested in or carried out activities related to the world of international cooperation.
